Constitutional Policing and Crimes Motivated by Bias

POST Approved: Constitutional Policing 3 Hours; Hate Crime 1 Hour

Participants in this course will analyze the relationship between federal, state, and local law and constitutional policing, with a focus on the 4th, 5th, and 6th Amendments of the United States Constitution. By exploring historical precedent and discussing legal changes, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the relevant laws and concepts. Participants will examine the impact of recent changes in the law, particularly in relation to the legalization of Marijuana.

In addition, attendees will explore the issue of Crimes Motivated by Bias, which is often misunderstood and underreported. By the end of the course, law enforcement officers will be equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to investigate and report such crimes, and to provide victims with the support and resources they need to recover.
