The 2022 Criminal Justice Mental Health Summit brings together law enforcement, medical providers, prosecutors, social workers, and other criminal justice professionals to collaborate and learn in an innovative environment. The goal within any of these professions is to engage, protect, and inform. We can only address the mental health needs within our community if all professionals foster cooperation and innovation.
Kevin Briggs, retired California Highway Patrol sergeant who spent many years patrolling the Golden Gate Bridge, who through his compassion, gentle voice, eye contact, and innate ability of “listening to understand” encouraged more than 200 individual over his career not to end their life, but to begin a new chapter. Kevin will provide the keynote address on Suicide Prevention and Crisis Communication.
